Here's what you can expect from us during the creation of your web site.
Step 1: Consultation
Whether you're not sure what you want, or you have a crystal-clear idea in your head and just need someone to make it happen, the first step is for us to discuss your project. We'll ask you in-depth questions so that we get a clear picture of who you are and what you want to achieve with your site. Once we know the scope of the project, we can give you an idea of the cost and timeline involved. Simply contact us to get the ball rolling.
Step 2: Domain & Hosting
You'll need to register your domain name (web site address) and set up hosting for your site before we can design and program it. Six Toed Catt offers both domain registration and hosting packages for new clients. If you already have your domain, we can transfer it to host on our servers. Step 3: Design
Our Web Artists will create several drafts of a sample home page for your site. We want you to be completely happy, so we encourage you to be picky when it comes to layout, color schemes, etc. During this "draft phase", we will more than likely go through several drafts as we narrow down the design. Once you have approved the basic design and layout, we will create the rest of your pages based on that main design.
Step 4: Programming
When all the pages of your site have been designed, we will program your site to work properly on the Web. We create a special, password-secure area for you where you can check out your site as it's being built. This way, you can see exactly how your site will look and operate before it actually goes up for the world to see.
Step 5: Final Approval & Upload
Once you have thoroughly reviewed your site, we will ask for your final approval. Once the site is approved, we then transfer it to your domain. At this point, your web site is operational on your own web address.
Step 6: Maintenance
Now that your site is up and running, how do you make changes and keep it current? Don't worry; we handle that too! When you sign up for one of our Maintenance Plans, all you have to do is login to your account on our web site, fill out your update request, and send it to us.
